KILROY AND TRIGGER BRINGS HOME THE BUCKLE

Hey everyone!

Kilroy just got home from a week with the Tejas Vaqueros, (an all male, close knit organization, designed to preserve the western, cowboy way of life…..some 400 strong), on a ranch outside of Hunt Texas.  They have a week of beautiful scenery, long rides, great food and  a Tejas Vaquero ranch rodeo.  Kilroy took my horse, Trigger, and the two of them won the “A” group in ranch sorting.  The “A” group is set aside for more of the pro’s and the “B” group is designed for the occasional riders.

I’m very proud of them both, but of course, mostly Trigger!  He is my best horse and the one I ride in the all girl ranch rodeo and also Craig Cameron’s all girl Extreme Cowgirl Race.  Kilroy also entered team penning, which they placed 5th, and he entered “chute dogging”.  That’s like steer wrestling without a horse.  When they open the chute gate, you’re there to grab the steer and hold him for 20 feet before you are allowed to  throw him down.  He did very well  (oldest one to do this), but missed his nose on the throw, so no time.  None of the younger guys did as well, so I guess the ole guy still has it in him…..

Of course it’s worth mentioning that Kilroy excelled in steer wrestling in pro rodeos from his teen’s to 30’s.

That’s the latest news.  I’m glad they are both home…I sure missed them.  Of course it didn’t help with me being the one left with all the chores, mowing, taking care of horses etc.

I wonder when it’s my time to go have fun??

God Bless each of you!

Welcome To Our Site

We have our web site up and running, and you're invited for cowboy coffee or a beer, as much as you want! Come on in and look around, share our lives and look at our photo’s of all the past times that shape us and keep us on our toes. We never forget the friends we have made over the years and the incredible times we have enjoyed sharing our lives with them.

When Elizabeth and I are asked what we love most about our life together, our answer is always the same. It’s God, our family, and the friends we share it with: you, the guests, the celebs, Willie, and all the gang that color our world and bless us with their grace.

Keep in touch, you never know where we will turn up at, usually on horseback, always with a smile and time for you and all the gang that make our life so joy filled.

Best Regards,

Kilroy & Elizabeth
