26th Annual Roundup Arts Show & Sale

Hey Amigos…

We’re still working hard on the TV show and looking forward to the pilot shooting on June 9th.  Our excitement is growing with leaps and bounds.

In the middle of the TV blur, we made a trip to Kerrville, Texas where Kilroy was invited to serve as master of ceremonies for the 26th annual Roundup Arts Show and Sale at the Museum of Western Art.  It was two days of great art, music, food and excitement.  Everything from chuck wagon food by our dear friend Buck Reams to gourmet food that was sometimes hard to recognize….but tasted good.  We also were privilaged to tour LD Brinkman’s private western art collection in his three story mansion over looking Kerrville.  What a view!!

The folks there were paying six figure prices for art, though Kilroy and I appreciate paintings of fine horses and such, Kilroy said he would rather have one of them in our pasture than hanging on the wall!!  If any of you are ever in Kerrville Texas or near, it would darn sure be worth your time to visit “The Museum of Western Art”.  It’s quite a deal and we’re sure you will enjoy it.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you…..thanks and God Bless,

Kilroy and Elizabeth

One of Kilroy’s Little Stories

I was just sitting around listening to one of Kilroy’s many stories and since nothing is happening right now, I thought I’d start “short stories” by Kilroy.

About a year after he went to Nashville, there was a pool party at Buddy Killen’s house to which he was invited.

As the evening progressed, and everyone was having fun, (I guess that means they were drunk), about that time people were being thrown into the pool, clothes and all. Someone dared Kilroy to throw Jim Reeves in, Kilroy said he was dressed in a “pastel linen” sport coat with a lavender ascot. (that was the first one Kilroy had seen, he thought it was a fancy handkerchief). Of course he had to throw him in, and everyone watched as Reeves toupee floated away.

Needless to say, Kilroy and Reeves never became friends.

Kilroy the Welder

New job (hobby more like it)…

Kilroy has been “playing” with welding for several months now. It would be nice if he would just go take classes at the college, but nooooo, not Kilroy.

He just keeps hammering along. He has plenty of horse shoes to play with and I have more horse shoe hooks than I know what to do with. The first one he welded he was so proud, he came into the house to show me, I bragged on it, then he dropped it on the carpet, and it fell apart. He has come a long way since then and now he’s making pretty good picture frames with horse shoes. He can’t wait to get back at it. Now he wants to attack the utility trailer with a welding rod. (I’m trying to talk him out of it)

Oh well, it keeps him busy and out of my way. One can never have to many picture frames or hooks.

Happy trails and LOL to all

Welcome To Our Site

We have our web site up and running, and you're invited for cowboy coffee or a beer, as much as you want! Come on in and look around, share our lives and look at our photo’s of all the past times that shape us and keep us on our toes. We never forget the friends we have made over the years and the incredible times we have enjoyed sharing our lives with them.

When Elizabeth and I are asked what we love most about our life together, our answer is always the same. It’s God, our family, and the friends we share it with: you, the guests, the celebs, Willie, and all the gang that color our world and bless us with their grace.

Keep in touch, you never know where we will turn up at, usually on horseback, always with a smile and time for you and all the gang that make our life so joy filled.

Best Regards,

Kilroy & Elizabeth
